Practice Directors

Progesys continues to experience a sustained and fast growth and building on that momentum is announcing several leadership nominations in Canada, Asia, Middle East, and South America. These nominations are aimed at consolidating the expertise in our practices (Project Management, Construction Management, Commissioning, Operational Readiness, 4.0, and ESG). The Practice Directors assume a leadership role ensuring our practitioners, technology solutions, and methodologies continue to be world-class and a benchmark in the industry.

Debora Neves from the Progesys Acttio Brazil office is promoted to ESG Practice Director, James Gannon, delivering projects in Asia, is now Construction Management Practice Director, and Victor Andrades, from the Dubai office, is appointed Operational Readiness Practice Director. In Canada, Serfio Hernandez is Project Management Practice Director, Hubert Soucy, 4.0 Practice Director, and Joel Gaudreault, Commissioning Practice Director.

Debora Neves has more than 15 years of experience in project management. She has assumed key roles in management of programs, projects, and initiatives aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs. She has planned, directed, and monitored the performance of ESG actions focused on transparency for stakeholders. Debora has experience in resettlement, urban planning, socio-economic and environmental responsibility, social development, sustainability, impact management, and stakeholders’ engagement, focusing on communities that have suffered environmental impacts of great magnitude and severity. She has extensive experience in PMO structuring, organizational diagnostics, project delivery management, strategic planning, development of management models, and audits.

James Gannon is a Senior Construction Manager and civil engineer with more than 35 years of experience in various industries.  For the past 20 years, he has assumed key roles in multinational organizations, and obtained and provided extensive knowledge of Safety, Quality, Cost Control, Contractual Strategies, Planning and Constructability. James has excellent communication skills, and his leadership is aimed at maintaining positive relationships with all project stakeholders including project owners, contractors, construction management teams, and engineering firms.

Victor Andrades has more than 18 years of experience in Project Management and Operations Management. Victor is a Senior Process and Operational Readiness Specialist. He has delivered large scale projects in various industries, including Fertilizers (Phosphates and Nitrogen), Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Ore Processing. He has a wide experience in project execution (PMC, PMT, FEED, EPC, EPMC) and operations, reliability, and asset management. Victor worked on various phases of projects including feasibility studies, FEED, start-up, and operation. To date, Victor has delivered projects with Progesys in Vietnam, Portugal, UAE, and Oman.

Serfio Hernandez is a Senior Project Control Manager and industrial engineer with more than 20 years of experience working on large-scale projects in various industries including mining and metals, and oil and gas, in Canada, Asia and South America. Serfio’s leadership and contribution to the success of projects is recognized in the industry. He has played key roles and provided his expertise in planning, cost control, construction, commissioning, risk analysis, personnel management, site supervision, and resources optimization. He demonstrates outstanding leadership and teamwork skills. Serfio joined Progesys in 2014 and has played a key role in projects in Asia and North America.

Hubert Soucy has more than 15 years experience in control systems, electrical design, process control and automation. He delivered projects in many industries including pulp and paper, mining and metals, oil and gas, cement, and energy production installations. His experience includes feasibility studies for large scale projects, preliminary and detailed engineering, and site construction and commissioning activities. He has worked on projects worldwide and mobilized to sites in Canada and South America.

Joel Gaudreault has more than 30 years of experience in industrial projects working as Project Manager, Commissioning Director, and engineering designer in different countries, continents, and cultures. Joel has extensive experience in Project Management, EPCM Brown and Greenfield projects. He is specialized in testing, commissioning, start-up, and turnover/turnaround of industrial facilities. His international expertise encompasses strategic planning, performance management, projects prioritizing, risk analysis, project controls, and contract negotiation. Joel is co-founder of Progesys and has played a key role in delivering projects and leading teams in Asia and North America.
