DESCRIPTION

OARC is part of the downstream park known as the Metal Park and includes several projects which convert liquid aluminum from the smelter into semi-finished and finished aluminum products. In 2013, OARC approved the construction of an Aluminum Coil Coating Line with a capacity of 25,000 tpy and the initial work started a year later in Sohar Industrial Estate (SIE). The facility is capable of coating aluminum for a variety of customers including construction, transportation, the industrial, and consumer durable goods sectors. The Coil Coating Line is the first of its kind in Oman.
